Ok, so we posted where we are going (follow this link to the Google Map), but didn’t say when. Here’s what we thinking as far as dates:
- Leave on May 28 (evening): And try to get as far north as we can – hopefully beyond Madison, WI. A lot will depend on traffic. (about 3 hours depending on rush-hour traffic)
- 5/29 – Stop in Sioux Falls, SD and the Badlands. (3.5 and 4 hours respectively)
- 5/30 – Drive to and check out Mt. Rushmore, but spend most of our time checking out Crazy Horse National Monument (2-3) hours)
- 5/31 – Drive to Yellowstone (8 hours)
- 6/1-6/4 – Check out Yellowstone / Grand Teton
- 6/5 – Drive to Glacier (9 hours)
- 6/6 – 6/7 – Check out Glacier
- 6/8 – Drive to Banff (6 hours)
- 6/9 – 6/10 – Check out Banff area
- 6/11 – Race across Saskatchewan and arrive in Winnipeg (15 hours)
- 6/12 – Rest and check-out Winnipeg
- 6/13 – Drive through Minneapolis to home (13 hours)
So there it is! This is all subject to change, in fact it has changed several times within the past week. Including even as I was writing this.
