We have the travel bug, no doubt about it. We love to see new things, experience new adventures, meet new people – all in an attempt to see what the world – the outside of our daily lives – has to offer.
We’ve been together since 1999 and have travelled together and independently. James spent a year learning Swedish in a great town called Mora and later met Marc right before a four-month stint in Germany. Marc spent a semester in South Africa, seeing that gorgeous country and learning a few words of Zulu (our dog is names “Inja” which, appropriately enough, means dog in that language).
This blog is about our two-week trip to see a part of the Western United States. Our original plan was to leave Chicago for Yellowstone National Park, then up to Glacier National Park in Montana, up to Banff in Alberta, and then back home through Minneapolis. We have no idea if that’s what will be the final form of the trip, but as long as we have fun along the way, that is all that matters. And that is was traveling is all about.
